Italy! Rome

On May 22 we flew into Rome.  Even though we were extremely tired, we were starving so we hit the streets of Rome for some pizza, gelato, and exploration.

We were so tired that both Christian and I starting fall asleep as we sat here

We headed back to our room and fell asleep at 6pm.

But the next morning we were ready to head out and explore again! 

Chris flew into Rome on Wednesday and we set out to find some good pasta for dinner.

Thursday we went to the Vatican

The best pizza we had all trip.  Hands down. 

Friday we went to the Borghese Gallery

And went on another one of dad's hunts for gelato

Stopped by the Spanish Steps

On Saturday morning we picked up our rental car and headed up to Tuscany

In October one of my good friends Crystal offered to help me sew two nursing covers for my sister and sister-in-law who are expecting.

Laurie's baby shower & Easter

My mom and I threw a baby shower for my sister-in-law Laurie in April just a few weeks before Virginia was born.

I had a lot of fun centering it around the "She's About to Pop!" theme

I had so much fun making this motorcycle diaper cake!

It was kind of silly but I came up with an idea for a "pop-themed" game-- I filled the balloons with candy, and we had people write their guesses of the date and time when Laurie would give birth.  Then we threw darts at them to make them pop.
